🎯 What You're Getting
The complete 3-tool workflow that ships a premium DTC product commercial in 30 minutes with zero shoot day.
Inside:
→ The master GPT Image 2 storyboard prompt template broken down section by section
→ 6 category-specific paste-ready storyboard prompts (skincare / supplements / apparel / food+bev / home + kitchen / beauty)
→ The Gemini Omni Flash conversion workflow to animate each of the 8 scenes into video clips
→ The CapCut assembly spec that turns 8 clips into a deploy-ready 20-second commercial
→ The 30-minute end-to-end workflow from concept input to shipped ad
→ Common failure modes and fixes
The single-page premium storyboard is the unlock. You review the entire commercial as one visual before spending a single render credit on video generation. If the storyboard misses, you regenerate the storyboard (60 seconds) instead of finding out mid-Gemini-render that shot 4 is broken (30 minutes wasted).
Original workflow inspired by @Strength04_X on X.
⚙️ Why Single-Page Storyboards Win
Traditional AI ad production goes: concept → prompt shot 1 → render shot 1 → prompt shot 2 → render shot 2 → discover shot 4 doesn't match shot 1's aesthetic → start over.
Every unmatched shot is 5-10 minutes and 10-30 render credits wasted.
Single-page storyboards flip the workflow: concept → 1 prompt → 1 single-image output showing all 8 scenes at once → review the entire commercial as one visual before rendering anything.
If the storyboard misses:
- Wrong aesthetic → regenerate storyboard (60 seconds, 1 credit)
- Wrong pacing → regenerate storyboard (60 seconds, 1 credit)
- Wrong product hero → regenerate storyboard (60 seconds, 1 credit)
If the storyboard hits:
- Every scene is pre-approved
- Every scene renders individually with 100% brief clarity
- Every scene arrives matching the aesthetic + pacing + hero already established
Approval speed × 10. Render waste ÷ 10. Ship velocity × 5.

Section-by-section breakdown
TITLE: This tells GPT Image 2 what the entire output represents. Keeps the model focused on producing a storyboard document, not a single image.
FORMAT: This is the structural spec. "Single-page premium storyboard" + "3:4 Portrait ratio" + "8 cinematic storyboard scenes" + "Premium advertising agency presentation" together instruct the model to produce a presentation-deck-style output with 8 grid cells, not a single hero image.
HEADER: This is the metadata band at the top. Information cards (duration / style / product / audio) turn the output into a real production doc. "Why This Style Works section" adds an editorial rationale panel that reads as professional agency work. Background + accent colors align the doc to your brand.
STORYBOARD: These are the 8 scene descriptions. The narrative arc matters here. Sequence: opening hero → setup → texture → action → detail → proof → result → final hero. This is the standard commercial narrative structure. Deviating from this arc typically produces less coherent commercials.
EVERY PANEL: This tells the model to include metadata per scene (scene number / duration badge / cinematic product image / camera angle / visual / action / product detail). Each panel becomes a mini-brief the operator can reference when generating individual videos.
CAMERA: This is the camera-technique vocabulary GPT Image 2 draws from when rendering each scene. Specific lens vocabulary (macro / tracking / shallow DoF) produces cinematic output. Generic language produces generic output.
STYLE: This is the aesthetic anchor. "Ultra-realistic" + "studio lighting" + "premium commercial photography" + "8K" together push the model toward its highest quality settings. Missing style anchors produces amateur output.
⚙️ 6 Category-Specific Paste-Ready Prompts

How to swap for your specific product
For each prompt, edit these 5 elements:
- Title line: Replace product name
- HEADER Information Cards: Update duration / style / product / audio to match your SKU + brand
- HEADER background + accent colors: Match to your aesthetic_core.md palette
- STORYBOARD scenes 1-8: Adapt scene descriptions to your product's specific narrative arc
- STYLE anchors: Match to your category-specific aesthetic (editorial vs cinematic vs UGC vs demo)
Keep the 7-section structure intact. That structure is what produces the premium storyboard output.
⚙️ The Gemini Omni Flash Video Conversion Workflow
Once GPT Image 2 produces the single-page storyboard, feed each of the 8 scene frames into Gemini Omni Flash to animate them into video clips.
Step-by-step conversion process
Step 1 — Crop the storyboard into 8 individual scene frames
Open the GPT Image 2 output in an image editor. Crop each of the 8 storyboard scene cells into individual reference frames. Save as scene_01.png through scene_08.png.
Alternatively, ask GPT Image 2 to regenerate each scene as a standalone image at higher resolution. Use this prompt:
Take scene [X] from the previous storyboard
output and regenerate as a standalone image
at 1080x1920 resolution, maintaining the
exact same aesthetic, lighting, product
positioning, and camera angle. Ultra-
realistic, 8K, film-grade quality.
Step 2 — Feed each scene frame into Gemini Omni Flash
Open Gemini Omni Flash. Upload scene_01.png as the reference frame. Use this animation prompt:
Animate this reference frame into a [X]-
second video clip. Motion type: [subtle
push-in / tracking pan / static with
micro-motion / handheld drift / product
rotation]. Preserve the exact aesthetic,
lighting, color palette, and product
positioning from the reference frame.
Match the storyboard scene action:
[Paste scene action from storyboard
metadata: what happens in this shot]
Camera: [macro / medium / wide].
Duration: [2-4 seconds]. Aspect ratio:
9:16.
Physics: realistic weight, momentum,
material behavior. Avoid character drift,
product distortion, and unnatural motion.
Step 3 — Repeat for all 8 scenes
Queue all 8 Gemini renders. Total render time typically 8-15 minutes for the batch.
Step 4 — Download all 8 video clips
Save as clip_01.mp4 through clip_08.mp4 in a folder ready for CapCut assembly.
Common Gemini failure modes + fixes
- Character drift between clips → provide same character reference frame to every clip, use "match reference frame exactly" language
- Product warping mid-motion → add "product remains structurally identical throughout motion" to prompt
- Motion too aggressive → reduce motion type to "static with micro-motion" or "subtle push-in"
- Aesthetic drift → paste the STYLE block from the master storyboard prompt into every scene animation prompt
- Wrong aspect ratio → explicitly specify "9:16 vertical for social media" in every prompt
⚙️ The CapCut Assembly Spec
Turn 8 rendered clips into a deploy-ready 20-second commercial in 10 minutes.
The 8-step assembly workflow
Step 1 — Import all 8 clips into CapCut timeline
Drag clip_01.mp4 through clip_08.mp4 onto the timeline in order. Total timeline should equal your target ad duration (20-30 seconds typical).
Step 2 — Trim each clip to storyboard duration
Match each clip's duration to the "Duration badge" from the storyboard (typically 2-4 seconds per scene). Trim excess frames from the head and tail of each clip.
Step 3 — Apply transitions per beat
- Shot 1 → 2: cut
- Shot 2 → 3: cut (or subtle whip if action-based)
- Shot 3 → 4: cut
- Shot 4 → 5: cut (or match-cut on motion)
- Shot 5 → 6: cut
- Shot 6 → 7: cut
- Shot 7 → 8: dip to product hero moment
Step 4 — Add music track
Import a music track matching the storyboard's HEADER "Audio" descriptor. Sync beat drop to shot 4 (turn / product reveal) or shot 5 (payoff).
Step 5 — Add SFX layers
Match SFX to the storyboard's HEADER "Audio" descriptor:
- Beverage: fizz + bubble SFX per shot 2-4
- Food: sizzle + crunch SFX per shot 3-6
- Skincare: water drop + soft ambient per shot 3-5
- Apparel: fabric rustle + soft ambient per shot 3-6
- Kitchen: sizzle + wood board impact per shot 3-6
- Beauty: subtle click + soft ambient per shot 2-4
Ambient sound layer at -20dB under everything (room tone matched to scene environment).
Step 6 — Add text overlays
- Shot 1: hook overlay (under 6 words)
- Shot 4-5: benefit or feature overlay
- Shot 8: CTA overlay (under 4 words)
Match typography to your brand.
Step 7 — Apply color grade preset
Apply your brand's aesthetic_core.md grade preset. Verify skin tones + product colors remain true across all 8 shots.
Step 8 — Export
- 9:16 for Meta Reels / TikTok / Shorts (1080x1920)
- 1:1 for Meta Feed (1080x1080)
- 16:9 for YouTube standard (1920x1080)
Total time: 10 minutes if you've built the storyboard well.
⚙️ The 30-Minute End-To-End Workflow
Minutes 0-3: Fill in your product + category variables in one of the 6 paste-ready prompts. Paste into GPT Image 2.
Minutes 3-4: GPT Image 2 generates single-page storyboard. Review as one visual.
Minutes 4-5: If storyboard needs revision, regenerate (60 seconds). If storyboard hits, proceed.
Minutes 5-8: Crop 8 scene frames from storyboard OR regenerate as standalone images.
Minutes 8-20: Queue 8 Gemini Omni Flash animation renders. Render time typically 8-12 minutes for the batch. Monitor for failures.
Minutes 20-28: CapCut assembly (8-step workflow above).
Minutes 28-30: Export at 3 aspect ratios. Upload to Meta Ads Manager as draft.
Total: 30 minutes concept-to-shipped ad. Zero shoot day. Zero external creator cost.
Compare to traditional workflow:
- Shoot day setup: 4-6 hours
- Shoot day filming: 6-10 hours
- Editing: 4-8 hours
- Total: 14-24 hours per finished ad
Traditional cost: $500-2,500 per finished ad depending on shoot tier.
This workflow cost: $10-30 per finished ad (API costs + render credits).
⚙️ Common Failure Modes + Fixes
Storyboard output looks like a single image, not 8 scenes
→ Emphasize "8 cinematic storyboard scenes" and "Premium advertising agency presentation" in the FORMAT section. Add "grid layout with 8 numbered panels" if needed.
Product doesn't stay hero across all 8 scenes
→ Emphasize "Product remains the main hero throughout" in FORMAT. Add product name explicitly in every scene description in the STORYBOARD section.
Aesthetic drifts across scenes
→ Strengthen STYLE section with specific reference: "high-end commercial photography in the style of [named campaign or magazine tier]". Repeat key aesthetic anchors in every scene description.
Storyboard header looks empty or plain
→ Make Information Cards explicit: list each card as a bullet with exact data. Add "styled as agency presentation deck" to the HEADER section.
Scene descriptions get merged or lost
→ Number scenes 1-8 explicitly. Add a blank line between each scene description in the STORYBOARD block.
Text on storyboard is illegible
→ Add "text labels are legible at 3:4 print resolution" to the FORMAT section.
Camera angles aren't cinematic enough
→ Use specific lens vocabulary in CAMERA section: "24mm wide", "50mm medium", "100mm macro". Avoid generic terms like "close-up" without specifying focal length.
Gemini video clips don't match storyboard aesthetic
→ Paste the entire STYLE block from the master storyboard prompt into every scene animation prompt. Repeat aesthetic anchors verbatim.
⚙️ What NOT To Do
→ Don't skip the FORMAT section. Without "Single-page premium storyboard" + "8 cinematic storyboard scenes" + "Premium advertising agency presentation", GPT Image 2 outputs a single hero image instead of a storyboard grid.
→ Don't skip the HEADER Information Cards. Without them, the output looks like a moodboard, not an agency doc.
→ Don't write vague scene descriptions. "Beautiful shot of product" produces generic output. "Extreme macro of single serum droplet forming at pipette tip with visible viscosity" produces cinematic output.
→ Don't skip the STYLE section. "Ultra-realistic" + "8K" + specific reference tier are what push GPT Image 2 to its top output quality.
→ Don't generate all 8 Gemini clips before verifying scene 1 hits. Render scene 1 first, confirm aesthetic matches, then batch the remaining 7.
→ Don't skip storyboard revision. If the storyboard looks off, regenerate it (60 seconds, 1 credit) instead of pushing through with a bad brief.
→ Don't use the same character reference across every scene without lock language. Add "same subject as reference frame, exact facial features" to every Gemini scene animation prompt.
→ Don't skip CapCut color grade. Ungraded exports look inconsistent across the 8 shots.
→ Don't auto-launch the finished ad to Meta LIVE. Always land in DRAFT for operator review first.
→ Don't share the master storyboard prompt template publicly. Once competitors have the exact structure, your production velocity advantage compresses.
⚙️ The Full Workflow Inventory
